Who supplies the materials for my remodel?
EZ Bath supplies the materials for the agreed remodeling scope. Homeowners supply lighting fixtures, cabinet hardware and mirrors. Your designer will confirm selections and responsibilities before ordering so materials are not forgotten when installation begins.
Who will install my bathroom?
Designers handle the in-home consultation and our office handles ordering and scheduling. Most installers are subcontractors we have worked with for years and are factory trained to install our products. For complex plumbing and electrical work, we bring in master plumbers and electricians. The construction manager introduces himself by phone on the start day, and the installer calls while on the way with an arrival estimate.
What happens if you find mold or termite damage?
We regularly uncover mold behind tile, damaged studs and plumbing that needs to be moved. EZ Bath handles that repair work, including mold remediation when needed, without an additional charge to the homeowner. If we find active termites, work stops so the homeowner can arrange a pest-control company; the pesticide service is the homeowner’s expense.
Why can there be a quiet period between ordering and installation?
Once selections are finalized and orders placed, the next step is waiting for custom materials. There may be no new progress to report during that manufacturing period. How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Houston?
Bathroom remodel costs in Houston vary based on the scope of work, materials selected, and the size of your bathroom. A shower remodel typically runs $7,500–$15,000+. Tub-to-shower conversions fall in the same range. Walk-in bathtubs start at $12,000+. A full bathroom remodel ranges from $15,000–$35,000+. Bathtub remodels run $6,500–$12,000+, and new bathroom vanities run $2,500–$6,000+. EZ Bath provides free in-home estimates with transparent, all-inclusive pricing — no hidden fees or surprise charges.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most of our materials are custom built and typically take 8–11 weeks to arrive after ordering. Once materials are in, our office calls to schedule installation. As a planning rule, allow about one week of installation for each $10,000 of project scope; your designer will confirm the schedule for your bathroom. Custom glass typically takes another 7–10 days after the shower is complete.
What materials do you use?
Our first recommendation is Bath Concepts high-tech polymer for its appearance, quality, ease of cleaning and manufacturer lifetime warranty. Onyx is our second recommendation. For customers who prefer tile, we use a Schluter/Kerdi waterproofing system. Polymer and Onyx offer fewer design choices than tile; tile takes longer, costs more to install correctly and has different warranty coverage.
What does your bathroom remodeling process look like?
A designer measures your bathroom and develops the design at your in-home consultation. Our office orders the custom materials and calls to schedule once they arrive. Installers protect floors and nearby furniture, remove the old bathroom and haul away debris. During installation, we confirm showerhead, grab-bar and accessory placements with you. The installer completes a final walkthrough and sign-off, and the office emails your warranty and cleaning instructions.
Do you offer financing for bathroom remodels?
Yes. Up to 72 months with no interest is currently available through our lending partners, subject to credit approval and offer terms. Ask your designer about eligibility and current financing details at your free consultation.
Do I need a permit for my bathroom remodel?
Whether your project needs a permit depends on your city or county and the scope of the work — many cosmetic remodels don't require one, and not every area in the Houston market requires a permit at all. Confirming whether a permit is needed for your address is the homeowner's responsibility. EZ Bath does not pull permits automatically — if you'd like us to pull one for you, just let us know at your in-home consultation so we can price it into your quote.
What warranty do you offer on your work?
EZ Bath backs its labor and installation with a two-year warranty. Service includes issues such as silicone replacement, cracked shower-door sweeps and shower cartridge problems. Most products also carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty; coverage depends on the product and its written warranty terms.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are fully insured, carrying general liability insurance on every project. Texas does not require a state license to perform bathroom remodeling, so EZ Bath is not a state-licensed contractor — and any remodeler who claims otherwise isn't being straight with you. When a job calls for extensive and/or complex electrical or plumbing work, we bring in licensed electricians and plumbers to handle it to code. We're also a BBB A+ rated business — a standard we've maintained since we were founded in 2019.
Can you remodel my bathroom without removing the existing tub?
In many cases, yes. We don't install tub liners, but we can install BCI Acrylic wall surround systems directly over your existing tub — giving your bathroom a completely refreshed look without the mess and cost of full demolition. During your consultation, we'll assess whether a walls-only update or a full replacement is the better option for your situation.

Will my bathroom be unusable during the remodel?
Yes — the bathroom being remodeled will be out of service while we work. If you have a second bathroom, you'll use that during the project. We recommend planning ahead if it's your only bathroom. Your designer will walk you through the specific timeline and logistics at your free consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
