A Spa-Like Master Bath Retreat in Houston

When our client first called EZ Bath, she had a vision: transform her dated master bathroom into a luxurious spa-like retreat. The existing bathroom was cramped and outdated, with mismatched fixtures and an inefficient layout that didn't maximize the space. She wanted a complete overhaul that would include a spacious soaking tub, a modern walk-in shower, premium tile finishes, and a fresh color palette that would make her morning routine feel like a getaway. Our team was excited to bring her dream to life.

The Transformation

The demolition phase required careful planning to reconfigure the bathroom layout. We removed the old fixtures, including the cramped tub and shower combination, and completely gutted the walls to access plumbing and structural elements. The team rerouted plumbing lines to accommodate the new layout, positioning a large soaking tub by the window to take advantage of natural light and the outdoor view. The shower was relocated to an open corner with a frameless glass enclosure, creating a modern, spacious feel. New water lines, drain systems, and ventilation were installed to support both fixtures and ensure proper moisture management.

Throughout the installation phase, we carefully installed gray marble-look tile on all wall surfaces, creating a cohesive, high-end aesthetic. The tile features a realistic stone pattern that brings elegance and sophistication to the space. A matching tile border was installed around the shower walls and surrounding the soaking tub platform, tying the design elements together seamlessly.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The centerpiece is an elegant white soaking tub positioned beneath a large window with soft horizontal blinds, allowing natural light to flood the space while maintaining privacy. The tub sits on a platform finished with the same gray marble-look tile that adorns the walls, creating a spa-like focal point. To the left, a spacious walk-in shower features a frameless glass door and is lined entirely with the marble tile for a sophisticated, unified look. A modern chrome shower fixture provides both style and functionality.

The walls throughout are painted a soft, calming blue-gray that complements the cool tones of the marble tile. A white vanity with ample storage sits to the right, and chrome fixtures and hardware add contemporary touches. The dark flooring provides subtle contrast and visual interest. Large windows flood the space with natural light, creating an airy, open feeling. Every detail—from the positioning of the fixtures to the choice of materials—was carefully considered to maximize both functionality and luxury.
