From Cramped Bathtub to Luxurious Walk-In Shower in Cypress

When our clients first contacted EZ Bath, they were ready for a major change in their master bathroom. The existing layout featured a cramped bathtub positioned awkwardly in the corner, with limited shower functionality and outdated plumbing fixtures. The homeowners envisioned a modern, spa-like shower experience with a spacious walk-in enclosure, updated fixtures, and a clean, contemporary design. They wanted their bathroom to feel like a personal retreat—a place to relax and refresh every day.

The Transformation

Our team began by completely demolishing the old bathtub and shower setup, removing all outdated plumbing lines and preparing the space for a total reconfiguration. The original layout had the tub positioned in an inefficient corner, wasting valuable bathroom real estate. We carefully rerouted all plumbing to accommodate a new, larger walk-in shower positioned to maximize the available space. The demolition revealed an opportunity to expand the shower footprint significantly, allowing us to create a generous, functional layout that would accommodate dual shower heads and provide plenty of room to move.

Once the structural work was complete, we installed a custom-built shower base with proper slope and drainage, ensuring water management would be seamless. We then framed and waterproofed the walls, preparing them for the tile installation that would define the final aesthetic.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. A large, frameless glass shower enclosure now dominates the space, creating an open, airy feel that makes the bathroom appear even larger. The shower features dual shower heads—a rainfall showerhead mounted overhead and a handheld wand positioned on the wall—allowing for customized shower experiences. The fixtures are finished in polished chrome, giving the space a modern, sleek appearance.

Inside the shower, crisp white subway tile covers the walls in a clean, classic pattern that's both timeless and easy to maintain. The shower floor features a matching tile design with a subtle shell-pattern accent mat for safety and visual interest. A recessed niche with multiple shelves provides convenient storage for shower products, keeping everything organized and within reach.

Outside the shower enclosure, the bathroom maintains a fresh, spa-like aesthetic with neutral tones and bright, clean surfaces. The layout now feels open and well-organized, with the toilet and vanity positioned thoughtfully to maximize traffic flow.
