From Basic Bathtub to Luxurious Modern Spa Bathroom in Houston

When our client approached EZ Bath about renovating her Houston bathroom, she was ready for a complete transformation. The existing space featured a simple bathtub setup with minimal storage, dated fixtures, and an outdated layout that didn't reflect her vision for a modern, spa-like retreat. She wanted to create a bathroom that combined elegant design with practical functionality—one that would become her personal sanctuary and add significant value to her home.

The Transformation

Our team started with complete demolition, removing the old bathtub, fixtures, and existing wall surfaces to the studs. We discovered plumbing that needed strategic repositioning to accommodate the new layout, particularly for the shower valve installation. The walls were prepped carefully, with new blocking installed to support the recessed niches that would hold toiletries and decorative items. We installed new electrical work to support modern lighting and exhaust ventilation, ensuring proper moisture control for long-term durability. Every inch of the space was optimized for the new design before any new materials went in.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a study in contemporary elegance. The shower features stunning large-format porcelain tile in a soft gray-and-white marble-look pattern that covers the walls, creating a cohesive, luxurious aesthetic. The floor transitions to wood-look tile in warm, neutral tones that complement the shower surround beautifully. We installed a spacious walk-in shower with a frameless glass enclosure, black matte fixtures, and dual showerheads for that true spa experience. Two recessed tile niches with decorative mosaic accents provide functional storage without cluttering the visual space.

The vanity area showcases white cabinetry paired with a marble countertop and modern chrome fixtures. The same marble-look tile carries up the walls around the vanity, creating visual flow throughout the bathroom. Recessed lighting is strategically placed for both task and ambient lighting, while a modern exhaust system keeps the space fresh and moisture-free. Every detail—from the black trim pieces around the shower to the carefully selected hardware—was chosen to create a cohesive, high-end look that feels both timeless and contemporary.

This complete bathroom renovation transformed an outdated, cramped space into a modern sanctuary that our client can enjoy every day. The combination of quality materials, thoughtful design, and expert craftsmanship has created a bathroom that not only meets her daily needs but exceeds her expectations for style and comfort.
