From Cramped Bathroom to Spa-Like Shower Oasis in Baytown

When our clients at this Baytown home first called EZ Bath, they were ready for a complete bathroom refresh. Their existing bathroom featured an outdated tub-and-shower combination with basic tile work and a cramped layout that didn't inspire relaxation. They envisioned a modern, spacious walk-in shower with quality finishes that would transform their daily routine into a spa-like experience. They wanted a bathroom that felt open, bright, and built to last.

The Transformation

Our team got to work with a complete demolition of the old fixture. We removed the existing tub-shower combo, old plumbing lines, and worn wall surfaces to reveal the bones of the space. This wasn't just a surface-level update—we reconfigured the entire layout to maximize the footprint and create a generous walk-in shower experience. New structural framing was installed, plumbing was rerouted for optimal functionality, and the space was prepped for a high-quality installation.

The construction process involved several key phases. First, we reinforced the walls with proper framing and moisture barriers—essential in any Houston bathroom where humidity is a constant challenge. Next came the installation of new plumbing rough-in work to support the shower fixtures and positioning. We installed cement board and waterproofing membranes to ensure long-term durability against moisture intrusion. Finally, the tile work began, transforming the walls with beautiful, durable materials.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The centerpiece is a spacious walk-in shower featuring light gray and white marble-look porcelain tile that covers all walls, creating a cohesive, luxurious aesthetic. The tile pattern and soft coloring create an elegant, calming atmosphere perfect for starting the day or unwinding in the evening. A black niche insert has been integrated into the shower wall—a practical touch for storing shower essentials while maintaining the clean, modern design.

The shower is equipped with a modern chrome rain showerhead positioned at the center, and a handheld shower wand mounted on the side wall for flexibility. A thick glass shower enclosure with a chrome frame keeps water contained while maintaining the open, airy feel of the space. The bathroom layout now flows naturally, with the toilet positioned out of the way and ample space for movement. Soft white towel bars and careful lighting complete the spa-like ambiance.

New drywall and fresh paint brighten the entire space, while the new fixtures and tile work coordinate beautifully with the warm tones of the flooring visible in the surrounding areas. Every detail—from the quality of the materials to the precision of the installation—reflects our commitment to excellence.
