When our client first contacted EZ Bath, they were ready for a change. Their master bathroom featured an outdated marble-look soaking tub positioned awkwardly in the center of the room, paired with mismatched plumbing fixtures and a cramped layout that didn't maximize the space. The homeowner envisioned a more functional, modern bathroom that would feel like a personal spa retreat—complete with a spacious walk-in shower, updated fixtures, and a fresh, clean aesthetic that would complement their home's contemporary style.

The Transformation

Our team got to work right away, beginning with complete demolition of the existing tub and surround. We carefully removed the marble-look tile work and assessed the underlying structure to plan the new layout. The major structural change involved repositioning the tub to one side of the room and creating space for a large, luxurious walk-in shower area. This required rerouting plumbing lines and ensuring proper drainage for the new configuration.

During the installation phase, we installed all new plumbing fixtures throughout the bathroom. The Delta faucet handles and spout visible in the mid-project photos show the quality of fixtures we selected. We also installed a new ceramic or stone tub surround and began laying out the shower area with careful attention to waterproofing and slope for proper drainage. The glass block window was preserved as a charming architectural feature that brings natural light into the space while maintaining privacy.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The soaking tub now sits along the windowed wall, positioned to take advantage of the natural light from the large glass block window—perfect for relaxing baths. The tub surround features clean white tile work that coordinates beautifully with the overall color scheme. The adjoining walk-in shower boasts a frameless glass enclosure and fresh white subway tile, creating a bright, airy feeling.

New Delta fixtures in brushed nickel or chrome finishes provide a modern, updated look throughout. The layout now feels more spacious and functional, with the shower and tub positioned to allow traffic flow through the bathroom. The neutral tile flooring and crisp white walls create a spa-like atmosphere that feels both clean and calming. A small recessed shelf in the shower provides practical storage, while the overall design maximizes usable space.
