Complete Master Bath Renovation in Katy: From Basic to Beautiful

When our team at EZ Bath first visited this Katy home, the master bathroom was functional but dated. The space featured an older vanity setup with basic fixtures, dated wall colors, and a shower/tub combination that had seen better days. The homeowner envisioned a complete transformation—a modern, spa-like retreat with updated finishes, improved layout, and quality fixtures that would add both comfort and value to their home. They wanted a fresh color palette and contemporary styling throughout the space.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the existing fixtures and finishes. We carefully removed the old vanity, torn out the dated shower surround, and stripped away the worn wall finishes to expose the framing. This allowed us to assess the plumbing and structural integrity of the space. We upgraded the plumbing lines to accommodate the new double-sink vanity configuration and repositioned fixtures for optimal flow and functionality. The flooring was completely replaced, and we installed new drywall and waterproofing in the shower area to ensure a solid foundation for the new finishes. New electrical work was completed to power the updated lighting and ventilation systems.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. A beautiful double-sink vanity with white cabinetry and marble countertops now anchors the space, providing ample storage and counter space. The vanity is topped with an oversized framed mirror and flanked by stylish sconces that provide excellent task lighting. The walls feature a sophisticated teal-blue color that creates a calming, spa-like atmosphere, contrasted beautifully by crisp white subway tile in the shower surround.

The new shower features a clean, modern design with white subway tile walls and a sleek glass enclosure. Coordinating tile work extends to the flooring, where gray wood-look plank tile creates visual warmth and easy maintenance throughout the bathroom. The shower is equipped with modern chrome fixtures including an overhead rainfall showerhead and handheld spray. New lighting, ventilation, and carefully selected décor elements complete the polished look. The closed-off door leading to the adjacent room maintains privacy while the overall layout feels more open and functional than the original configuration.

This Katy master bath renovation demonstrates how thoughtful design choices and quality materials can completely reimagine a space.
