Complete Bathroom Overhaul: From Cramped and Dated to Modern and Functional in Tomball

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, their Tomball bathroom told the story of a home that needed serious attention. The space was cramped, outdated, and inefficient. The original layout felt cramped with dated fixtures, worn walls, and plumbing that had seen better days. The homeowner wanted a complete transformation—a modern, functional bathroom that would maximize the small footprint while adding contemporary style and reliable infrastructure. They envisioned a space that felt fresh, clean, and truly usable for their family's daily needs.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition. We removed the old vanity, toilet, and shower/tub enclosure to reveal the bones of the bathroom. The textured drywall ceiling and walls came down, along with dated plumbing fixtures that were corroded and unreliable. We exposed the wall cavity and discovered the existing plumbing configuration—a tangle of white PVC pipes that had served the space but needed updating for modern demands. Our plumbers completely rerouted the drain and supply lines, installing new configurations to support the improved layout. The flooring was stripped away to prepare for new material, and we installed fresh drywall and proper insulation. New electrical work was completed, including rewiring for updated outlet placement. Every inch of this bathroom was addressed, from ceiling to subfloor.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a dramatic departure from its predecessor. The shower enclosure now features beautiful travertine-look tile with a rich, warm bronze tone and natural variation throughout. The tile work extends from floor to ceiling, creating a cohesive, spa-like environment. A sleek chrome shower door frame tops the installation, providing clean lines and easy maintenance. The vanity has been replaced with a fresh, modern design featuring a dark wood base cabinet topped with a pristine white countertop and integrated sink. Above, a clean mirror with proper lighting reflects the new brightness of the space.

The toilet is a modern white fixture positioned efficiently in the layout. The flooring throughout is now a warm wood-look material that complements the earthy tones of the shower tile. The walls are finished in a soft, neutral paint that brightens the entire room. The ceiling has been completely renewed with smooth drywall and updated trim. Every detail—from the repositioned plumbing to the new electrical outlets—has been thoughtfully planned and executed.

This bathroom renovation transformed a cramped, dated space into a modern, functional room that our client can truly enjoy. The improved layout maximizes usable space, the updated plumbing and electrical systems provide reliability for years to come, and the beautiful finishes create a spa-like retreat within their Tomball home. What was once a source of frustration is now a point of pride.
