From Basic Bathtub to Luxurious Walk-In Shower in Montgomery

When our client in Montgomery came to EZ Bath, their master bathroom was tired and outdated. The space featured a standard bathtub with basic tile surrounds and an overall layout that didn't match their vision for a modern, spa-like retreat. They wanted to transform this neglected corner of their home into a stunning walk-in shower with contemporary finishes and a fresh aesthetic. The homeowner envisioned a sleek, functional space that would become their favorite room in the house—and we were ready to make it happen.

The Transformation

Our team began by completely gutting the existing bathroom fixtures and tile work. The old bathtub was removed, opening up the space for a much larger walk-in shower. We carefully demolished the dated tile surround and prepared the walls for new construction. Structural modifications were made to accommodate the new shower layout, with careful attention to plumbing rough-ins for the shower heads and fixtures. The concrete foundation was prepped and sealed to ensure a solid, waterproof base for the new installation.

The installation process was meticulous. Our crew framed out the new shower enclosure with precision, installing all necessary plumbing lines and drainage systems before tiling began. We applied waterproofing membranes to prevent any future moisture issues—a critical step in ensuring the longevity of the renovation. Metal support structures were carefully positioned to hold the new glass enclosure and towel bars at the proper angles and heights.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of spectacular. We installed beautiful travertine-look porcelain tile throughout the spacious walk-in shower, creating a warm, earthy aesthetic that feels both luxurious and inviting. The tile features subtle variations in tone that add depth and visual interest to the shower walls. A frameless glass enclosure with brushed nickel hardware provides clean, modern lines and allows the beautiful tilework to be fully appreciated.

The shower is equipped with modern chrome fixtures including a rainfall showerhead and hand-held sprayer, positioned at optimal heights for ultimate comfort. The accent wall beside the shower features the same travertine-look tile, creating a cohesive design throughout the space. The bright blue paint on the remaining walls complements the neutral tile tones perfectly, while large windows flood the bathroom with natural light. The overall layout is open and spacious, making the room feel significantly larger than before.

This renovation has completely transformed our client's daily routine. What was once a cramped, outdated bathroom is now a serene, spa-like sanctuary. The walk-in shower with its premium tile work and modern fixtures has become the highlight of their master bathroom—a space where they can truly relax and unwind.
