When our client approached EZ Bath about renovating her Houston bathroom, she was working with a tired, dated space that had seen better days. The original bathroom featured builder-grade fixtures, aging vanity cabinetry in a pale cream color, and basic mirrors with minimal lighting. The shower area was cramped and utilitarian, with plain white subway tile and no visual interest. While functional, the space lacked the style and sophistication our client desired for her home. She wanted a modern, spa-like bathroom that would serve as a relaxing retreat—complete with updated fixtures, better lighting, and contemporary design elements that would add genuine value to her home.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the existing fixtures and finishes. We removed the old vanity, mirrors, and lighting fixtures, then carefully gutted the shower area down to the studs. This allowed us to address any underlying plumbing and structural concerns while preparing a clean canvas for the new installation. During this phase, we updated plumbing lines and rough-in work to accommodate modern fixtures and ensure optimal water pressure and drainage. The existing shower surround was completely removed and replaced, and new electrical work was completed to support additional vanity lighting.

Once the prep work was complete, our team installed a beautiful new dual-sink vanity with ample storage, featuring the same cream cabinetry style but with updated hardware and a modern gray quartz countertop. The new mirrors are framed in brushed nickel and installed side-by-side for a contemporary look. A striking row of modern cylinder vanity lights was mounted above, providing bright, even illumination perfect for grooming tasks.

The completed bathroom showcases a harmonious blend of style and functionality. The dual-sink vanity provides each homeowner with dedicated space, while the gray quartz countertop offers durability and a sophisticated neutral tone that complements the space perfectly. The shower surround now features a striking design with white subway tile on the lower walls and a decorative diamond pattern tile border in slate gray and white near the top, adding visual interest without overwhelming the space. The new shower fixtures include a rainfall showerhead and hand-held spray, combining luxury with practicality. The bathroom flooring was also refreshed during the project, creating a clean, updated foundation for the entire space.
