Complete Bathroom Renovation in Cypress: From Cramped and Dated to Modern and Functional

When our team at EZ Bath first walked into this Cypress bathroom, we were looking at a space that had seen better days. The original layout featured an older bathtub and shower combination, outdated wall surfaces, and a floor plan that didn't maximize the available space. Our client wanted a complete transformation—a fresh, modern bathroom that felt clean, updated, and fully functional for their family's needs. They envisioned better storage, improved fixtures, and a cohesive design that would add value to their home.

The Transformation

Our demolition crew got to work removing the old bathtub, shower surround, and dated tile. We carefully extracted the existing plumbing fixtures to assess what needed to be replaced or redirected. The worn flooring was completely removed, revealing the subfloor that we needed to inspect and prepare for new installation. During this phase, we also removed old cabinetry and made strategic adjustments to the plumbing lines to accommodate the new layout and fixture placement. The walls were stripped back to bare studs, giving us a clean slate to work with. Once the space was gutted, we inspected all structural elements and reinforced areas where needed to ensure a solid foundation for the new installations.

Our installation team then began the careful process of setting new plumbing, installing fresh drywall, and preparing surfaces for finishing. Every detail was measured and planned to ensure the new fixtures would sit perfectly and function flawlessly. The team worked methodically through each phase—rough-ins for plumbing and electrical, waterproofing where needed, and then the installation of new fixtures and finishes.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning upgrade that our client absolutely loves. The space now features a modern white subway tile shower surround paired with crisp white cabinetry and a fresh gray-blue wall color that creates a calm, spa-like atmosphere. The new flooring—durable tile in neutral tones—provides both style and easy maintenance. New polished chrome fixtures, including a contemporary towel ring and updated outlet plates, add clean lines throughout the space. The vanity area is bright and functional with ample counter space and proper lighting, making morning routines more enjoyable.

The layout is now more efficient, with better traffic flow and improved storage options. The updated shower features modern fixtures and a clean, accessible design. Every element works together cohesively, from the wall colors to the hardware selections, creating a bathroom that feels current and well-designed.

This renovation transformed what was once a cramped, outdated bathroom into a beautiful, modern space that the homeowner can enjoy for years to come. The attention to detail, quality materials, and expert craftsmanship have made a dramatic difference in both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of this Cypress home.
