When our client first called EZ Bath, their Houston bathroom was tired, outdated, and desperately needed attention. The existing layout featured an older fiberglass shower enclosure with limited space, dated tile flooring, and a cramped footprint that made the room feel smaller than it actually was. The homeowner envisioned a modern, spa-like retreat with an open walk-in shower, fresh materials, and a layout that would maximize both functionality and style. The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the existing shower structure and surrounding areas. We carefully removed the old fiberglass enclosure, which had seen better days, and stripped away the dated fixtures. The framing work required precision—we opened up the wall space to accommodate new plumbing runs for the relocated shower and installed fresh drywall to ensure a clean, modern canvas. The structural preparation was meticulous, with proper backing and waterproofing installed to ensure the new shower enclosure would be built on a solid foundation. We also addressed the flooring substructure, preparing it to receive the new tile installation.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The centerpiece is a spacious walk-in shower with a beautiful brushed nickel rainfall showerhead and handheld shower combo, flanked by glass enclosure panels that create an open, airy feel. Inside the shower, we installed a recessed niche with multiple shelves—perfect for storing shower essentials while maintaining the clean aesthetic. The shower walls are finished in neutral-toned ceramic tile that complements the overall design.

The bathroom flooring features warm, earthy tile in a consistent pattern throughout the space, creating visual continuity and making the room feel larger. The toilet remains in its functional position, and the overall layout now flows seamlessly. We installed brushed nickel fixtures throughout, including grab bars for safety—a feature that combines accessibility with modern design. The lighting is bright and functional, illuminating the entire space evenly.
