When our client first came to EZ Bath, they had a functional but outdated master bathroom centered around an old soaking tub that no longer matched their lifestyle. The space featured an oversized garden tub with basic tile surroundings and limited shower functionality. They envisioned a complete transformation—a spa-like walk-in shower with premium finishes, modern black fixtures, and a layout that would maximize the bathroom's potential. The goal was to create a sophisticated retreat that felt both contemporary and timeless.

The Transformation

Our team began by completely demolishing the existing tub and shower area, removing outdated plumbing fixtures and preparing the space for a ground-up rebuild. The structural work involved installing new plumbing lines to accommodate a corner walk-in shower configuration, which required careful planning to ensure proper drainage and water management. We extended the shower area significantly, transforming what was once a tub-centric bathroom into a sprawling walk-in enclosure. New electrical work was added to accommodate recessed lighting throughout the ceiling, creating ambient illumination in the bathing area. The flooring was carefully leveled and prepared with a sloped base to direct water toward the new floor drain, a critical component for a seamless walk-in experience.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a masterclass in modern elegance. The star feature is the frameless glass walk-in shower, which stretches across a generous corner of the bathroom with crystal-clear tempered glass panels held together by sleek black hardware. Inside, premium stone-look porcelain tile in warm beige tones covers all three walls, creating a cohesive, spa-like atmosphere that feels both luxurious and grounded. The shower is equipped with a large matte black rainfall showerhead mounted from the ceiling, complemented by a handheld sprayer and matching black body jets for a complete hydrotherapy experience. Recessed lighting throughout the enclosure creates a bright, welcoming environment.

Beyond the shower, the bathroom features coordinating tile work on the main walls in the same warm stone palette. The flooring throughout is a neutral tone that ties the entire space together. A sophisticated accent border of small diamond-shaped tiles adds visual interest at key points. The bathroom maintains proper ventilation with updated lighting fixtures, and every fixture—from handles to showerheads—has been coordinated in matte black for a cohesive, contemporary aesthetic.
