From Cramped Bathroom to Luxurious Walk-In Shower in Pearland

Our client in Pearland had a vision: transform their outdated, cramped bathroom into a modern spa-like retreat. The existing bathroom featured a standard bathtub configuration with limited functionality and tired finishes. The homeowner wanted to maximize space, improve functionality, and create a contemporary aesthetic with high-end finishes that would elevate their daily routine and add significant value to their home. They chose EZ Bath to bring this vision to life.

The Transformation

The demolition phase was extensive. We completely removed the old bathtub and surround, stripped away dated wall coverings, and opened up the space to allow for a larger, frameless glass-enclosed walk-in shower. This required careful structural planning to reconfigure the plumbing and ensure proper drainage. Our team carefully protected the rest of the home during this dusty phase, containing debris and minimizing disruption to the homeowner's daily life.

Once demolition was complete, we got to work on the new foundation. We installed fresh drywall, updated all plumbing lines to accommodate the new shower configuration, and ensured proper waterproofing throughout the wet areas. The shower floor was carefully sloped and sealed to prevent water intrusion. We installed a modern linear drain that complements the clean-line aesthetic our client wanted.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The centerpiece is a large, frameless glass walk-in shower enclosure with brushed nickel hardware that gleams against the elegant gray marble tile work. The shower features a built-in bench seat—perfect for comfort and practicality—and includes two large windows that flood the space with natural light while maintaining privacy through frosted glass.

The shower surround is clad in beautiful gray marble tile that extends partway up the walls, creating a sophisticated, spa-like atmosphere. The shower ceiling features a linear array of warm pendant lights in an amber tone that provide excellent task lighting and add a touch of warmth to the cool marble palette. The flooring throughout the bathroom complements the design with neutral tile that's both durable and easy to maintain.

Beyond the shower, the bathroom now features clean white cabinetry, modern chrome fixtures, and an open layout that feels spacious and inviting. The entire space maintains a cohesive design language—contemporary yet timeless, luxurious yet practical.

This Pearland bathroom renovation demonstrates what's possible when vision meets expert craftsmanship. By removing the old bathtub configuration and reimagining the space as a walk-in shower, we created a bathroom that's not only more functional but also significantly more beautiful.
