From Cramped Bathroom to Luxurious Walk-In Shower in Magnolia

When our clients in Magnolia reached out to EZ Bath, their bathroom was desperately in need of an update. The small, dated space featured an aging bathtub setup with limited functionality and a layout that didn't serve their lifestyle. They envisioned a modern, spa-like retreat with a spacious walk-in shower, updated fixtures, and a fresh aesthetic that would transform their daily routine. What they needed was a complete renovation—and that's exactly what we delivered.

The Transformation

The demolition phase was extensive. The existing tub and surround were completely removed, along with the old plumbing and outdated tile work. Our team opened up the walls to assess the structural integrity and plan the new layout. The wooden framing visible in the mid-stage photos shows the careful planning that went into repositioning plumbing lines and creating the new shower enclosure. We maintained the bathroom's functionality during construction while preparing the space for its dramatic redesign.

The installation process involved several key upgrades. New waterproofing and substrate materials were installed to ensure durability and prevent future moisture issues. The plumbing was rerouted to accommodate the new shower location and to integrate the elegant two-handle, center-mounted faucet. Protective plastic film was carefully applied throughout the installation to protect the fixtures and surrounding surfaces—a detail visible in the project photos that shows our commitment to quality workmanship.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. A large frameless glass walk-in shower now dominates the space, with a sleek dark accent frame that adds contemporary style. The shower features a generous bench seat, perfect for comfort and functionality. Inside, large-format gray tile creates a sophisticated, cohesive look that's both modern and timeless. An arched showerhead and handheld spray provide flexibility and luxury.

The vanity area showcases a beautiful quartz countertop with a pristine white vessel sink. The bronze two-handle faucet offers a striking contrast that complements the overall design. The walls are painted a fresh, cheerful yellow that brightens the entire space and creates an uplifting atmosphere. The flooring features neutral tile that ties the room together perfectly.

The renovation also included thoughtful touches like built-in niches for storage within the shower, ensuring the space is both beautiful and practical. Hanging plants add a spa-like, organic element that enhances the overall ambiance. New lighting fixtures illuminate the space efficiently and stylishly.

This bathroom renovation exceeded the homeowner's expectations.
