From Cramped Bathtub to Luxurious Walk-In Shower in Spring, Texas

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, they had a clear vision: transform their outdated master bathroom into a modern spa-like retreat. The existing bathroom featured a standard soaking tub positioned awkwardly in the space, dated fixtures, and a layout that didn't maximize the room's potential. The homeowner wanted to eliminate the tub entirely and replace it with a spacious, frameless walk-in shower that would make their morning routine more enjoyable and add significant value to their Spring home.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete bathroom demolition, carefully removing the existing tub, surround walls, and all associated plumbing infrastructure. The scope of work required extensive structural changes—we repositioned plumbing lines to accommodate the new shower location and reconfigured the layout to create an open, modern floor plan. The flooring was stripped down to the subfloor, and we reinforced the area to support the new tile installation and ensure proper drainage around the shower base. Additionally, new electrical work was completed to install recessed lighting throughout the ceiling, providing bright, even illumination in the refreshed space.

The installation phase showcased the careful coordination required for a quality remodel. We installed a large-format tile shower surround with a subtle gray linear pattern that creates visual interest without overwhelming the space. The shower base was set with proper slope for drainage, and a high-quality frameless glass enclosure was installed, featuring a sleek chrome frame and hardware. New plumbing fixtures, including a modern shower valve and rainfall showerhead, were integrated seamlessly into the design. The bathroom flooring received large-format tile in a soft gray-and-beige palette that complements the shower surround perfectly.

The Finished Result

The completed master bathroom is nothing short of stunning. A spacious frameless glass walk-in shower dominates one corner, featuring pristine subway-style tile walls in soft gray tones and a matching tile base. The shower is equipped with modern chrome fixtures including an overhead rainfall showerhead and a handheld spray option for versatility.
