When our client first contacted EZ Bath, their master bathroom shower was dated and underwhelming. The existing setup featured an older sliding glass door enclosure with minimal visual appeal and limited functionality. Our client had a clear vision: they wanted to transform this cramped shower space into a modern, luxurious retreat that would add both comfort and value to their Spring home. They desired a sleek frameless glass enclosure, premium tile work, and updated plumbing fixtures that would create a spa-like experience every time they stepped inside.

The Transformation

Our team at EZ Bath began the project with a complete demolition of the existing shower. We carefully removed the old sliding glass doors, damaged drywall, and outdated plumbing fixtures. Once the space was cleared, we assessed the structural requirements and discovered that significant framing work would be necessary to properly support the new installation. Our crew built new wooden framing to ensure a solid foundation for the tile work and new enclosure.

The plumbing phase was critical to this project. We installed new water lines and repositioned fixtures to accommodate the updated layout. The rough-in work included installing the drainage system visible in our progress photos, complete with proper slope and venting to meet all building codes. We also prepared the shower pan with proper waterproofing to prevent any future moisture issues—a crucial step that many contractors overlook.

Next came the installation of beautiful large-format porcelain tile throughout the shower surround. The soft gray marble-look tile with subtle veining creates an elegant, cohesive design that maximizes the sense of space. Our tile setters carefully laid each piece to ensure proper grout lines and a professional finish that will stand the test of time.

The shower pan, finished with coordinating tile and topped with a brushed brass drain trim ring, drains efficiently while looking absolutely refined.

The hardware throughout—including the chrome grab bars and towel racks—was selected to complement the modern aesthetic while providing practical functionality. New drywall was finished and painted to create clean sight lines that showcase the beautiful tilework.
