From Cramped Orange Bathroom to Spa-Like Master Bath in Richmond

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, her primary bathroom was stuck in the past. The space featured bright orange flooring, outdated fixtures, and a cramped layout that didn't match the rest of her home's aesthetic. She envisioned a modern, spa-like retreat with clean lines, neutral tones, and a luxurious walk-in shower. The Transformation

Our team began with complete demolition, removing the orange flooring, old cabinetry, and existing shower enclosure. The structural work was significant: we reconfigured the layout to maximize functionality and installed new plumbing lines to accommodate an enlarged walk-in shower area. The shower was expanded considerably, allowing for a spacious layout with room for multiple fixtures and a comfortable entry. New electrical work was completed to add recessed lighting throughout the ceiling and install modern vanity lighting above the sink area.

The installation phase involved laying new flooring throughout—a beautiful gray wood-look tile with subtle variations that adds warmth while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The shower walls were tiled with large-format gray marble-look tiles that create a sophisticated, cohesive look. A matching marble-look tile base frames the shower entrance, and the shower floor features matching gray tile with proper drainage. New plumbing fixtures were installed, including a modern single-handle faucet and a dual-head shower system.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The space now features a sleek, frameless glass shower enclosure with a contemporary look that opens up the room visually. The gray marble-look tile throughout the shower creates a spa-like atmosphere, while the wood-look flooring in the main bathroom area adds warmth and prevents that cold, sterile feeling. The vanity—finished in a sophisticated dark gray with chrome hardware—provides ample storage while maintaining a clean, minimalist design.
