Bathroom Remodel in Dickinson
Completed for Louisa S. in Dickinson, Texas.
From Cramped Shower Stall to Spacious Modern Walk-In Sanctuary in Dickinson
When our client first contacted EZ Bath, their Dickinson bathroom was stuck in the past. The small, enclosed shower featured an outdated framed glass enclosure with brass-toned hardware that had seen better days. The cramped layout made the space feel closed-in, and the worn caulking around the shower edges showed years of moisture damage. The homeowner envisioned a completely different bathroom—one that felt open, clean, and spa-like. They wanted a modern walk-in shower with contemporary black hardware, improved functionality, and a layout that would make better use of the space.
The Transformation
Our EZ Bath team got to work with a complete demolition of the existing shower enclosure. We carefully removed the old framed glass doors, brass hardware, and the deteriorating caulking that had allowed water damage to penetrate the surrounding walls. Once the old structure was cleared, we assessed the plumbing and wall conditions. The drywall behind the shower showed signs of moisture exposure, which we addressed before moving forward with the new installation.
The reconstruction began with installing fresh drywall and ensuring proper waterproofing in the shower surround area—critical steps that many contractors overlook but that EZ Bath never skips. We then installed new subway tile throughout the shower walls in clean white tones, creating a bright, airy feel that contrasts beautifully with the new black metal hardware. The new frameless glass enclosure was custom-fitted to maximize the open feel while maintaining water containment. We installed two horizontal black grab bars at ergonomic heights, adding both safety and contemporary style to the design.
The Finished Result
The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The new walk-in shower features a frameless glass enclosure that stretches nearly the full width of the space, making it feel significantly larger than the old setup. The white subway tile creates clean, horizontal lines that draw the eye across the shower walls. Black metal fixtures—including the showerhead, grab bars, and door hardware—provide striking contrast and a modern, upscale aesthetic.
The shower pan is bright white and positioned perfectly with the new layout. The bathroom floor features neutral tile with a subtle dark accent pattern that ties in with the black shower hardware, creating cohesive design throughout the space. The overall color palette of whites, blacks, and natural tones gives the bathroom a spa-like quality that feels both luxurious and timeless. Natural light from the bathroom window floods in, reflecting off the clean tile work and glass enclosure to brighten the entire space.
Our client now has a bathroom that feels twice the size and infinitely more functional. The cramped, dated shower has been replaced with a modern sanctuary that they love stepping into every morning. This project perfectly demonstrates how thoughtful design, quality materials, and expert craftsmanship can completely reimagine a tired bathroom space.
