From Cramped Alcove to Spa-Like Soaking Tub in Humble

When our clients reached out to EZ Bath, their master bathroom told the story of a home that had served them well for years—but was ready for an upgrade. The existing setup featured a basic bathtub tucked into an alcove with dated tile surround and minimal storage solutions. The narrow layout felt cramped, and there was no dedicated space for the luxurious soaking experience they'd always wanted. After years of quick showers in a confined space, they were ready to transform their bathroom into a personal retreat where they could truly relax.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the existing tub and surround. We carefully removed the old tile, plumbing fixtures, and structural components to prepare for something entirely new. The critical work involved rerouting and upgrading the plumbing lines—a significant undertaking that required precision work to ensure proper water supply and drainage for the new installation. We installed a custom alcove frame system with mounting brackets to secure the new soaking tub in place, ensuring it would be sturdy and level for years to come. The plumbing connections were carefully sealed and tested, with particular attention paid to the valve connections and supply lines visible in our progress photos. Once the rough-in work was complete, we moved forward with finishing the surround and bringing the vision to life.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The centerpiece is a pristine white soaking tub, generously proportioned to provide plenty of room for a luxurious bath experience. The tub is surrounded by crisp white subway tile, arranged in a classic grid pattern that creates a clean, modern aesthetic while maintaining timeless appeal. The tile extends up the wall in a perfect vertical pattern, creating visual continuity and a spa-like atmosphere throughout the space.
