From Cramped Shower to Luxurious Walk-In Oasis in Spring

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, they had a vision: transform their outdated bathroom into a modern, spa-like retreat. The existing shower was cramped and dated, with basic fixtures and a layout that didn't make efficient use of the space. The homeowner wanted a spacious walk-in shower with contemporary styling, improved lighting, and quality finishes that would completely modernize this essential room. They chose EZ Bath to bring their dream bathroom to life.

The Transformation

Our team began with careful demolition, removing the old shower enclosure and reconfiguring the bathroom layout to maximize space. We addressed the underlying plumbing infrastructure, relocating lines to accommodate the new walk-in shower footprint. The existing walls were prepped and new substrate installed to support the modern tile work. This phase required precision planning to ensure proper drainage, structural integrity, and code compliance throughout the renovation.

Once the structural work was complete, our installers began the artistic phase of the project. The new shower features a stunning glass enclosure with sleek dark frames, creating a contemporary focal point. Inside, crisp white subway tile covers three walls in a clean, linear pattern that emphasizes the shower's generous dimensions. The fourth wall showcases a built-in niche with the same white subway tile, providing convenient storage without cluttering the space. A gray stone-look base ties the design together and provides excellent slip resistance.

Outside the shower, we installed a hexagonal mosaic tile floor in soft gray and white tones that coordinates beautifully with the overall aesthetic. New lighting fixtures were integrated into the ceiling, including recessed options and a dedicated exhaust system for moisture control. The bathroom walls received fresh paint in neutral tones that complement the tile work, while new windows maintain the homeowner's connection to nature and provide excellent natural light.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a masterpiece of modern design and functionality. The walk-in shower dominates the space with its generous proportions and frameless glass door, which makes the entire bathroom feel larger and more open. The white subway tile creates a timeless, clean aesthetic that will remain stylish for years to come. Chrome and brushed nickel fixtures provide contemporary accents throughout, while the built-in niche eliminates the need for bulky shelving units.

The spa-like atmosphere is enhanced by quality lighting that provides both practical illumination and ambient warmth. The hexagonal floor tiles add visual interest while maintaining a cohesive design scheme. Every detail—from the grab bars to the upgraded showerhead—was carefully selected to balance beauty with functionality and safety.
