Corner Soaking Tub Sanctuary: A New Waverly Bathroom Transformation

When our client in New Waverly first called EZ Bath, they had a vision: transform their master bathroom into a spa-like retreat centered around a luxurious soaking tub. The existing bathroom, while functional, felt cramped and outdated. The corner location offered untapped potential, and the homeowner wanted to maximize that space with a beautiful garden tub as the focal point. They also desired a complete aesthetic overhaul—new cabinetry, updated countertops, fresh paint, and modern fixtures that would create a cohesive, upscale look.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the old fixtures and finishes. The existing sink vanity was removed, along with outdated plumbing connections. We carefully demolished the area to make room for a substantial corner soaking tub installation. Structural modifications were necessary to properly support the weight of the tub when filled, requiring reinforcement of the subfloor in the corner alcove. New plumbing lines were run for the tub's drain, supply lines, and overflow system. The walls were prepped and painted in a sophisticated sage green, creating a calming backdrop for the spa-inspired space. We also installed protective plastic sheeting throughout to contain dust and protect the surrounding areas during construction.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. A pristine white corner soaking tub now commands the room, positioned perfectly in the corner nook with elegant dark gray surround paneling. The tub features a contemporary white rim and is complemented by polished chrome plumbing fixtures. Flanking the tub are custom white cabinetry pieces with raised-panel doors and brushed nickel hardware that provide ample storage without overwhelming the space.

The vanity area showcases a crisp white cabinet base topped with gray speckled quartz countertops that echo the tub surround for visual continuity. A large framed mirror with integrated lighting reflects the soft, welcoming glow throughout the space. The flooring features neutral gray-and-white ceramic tile in a diagonal pattern that adds visual interest while remaining timeless. The walls are painted in a soothing greige tone that transitions beautifully with the window treatments—sheer patterned curtains that allow natural light to filter in while maintaining privacy.

Additional touches include a black-and-white forest landscape photograph that adds an artistic element above the tub, and strategic lighting that creates ambiance for evening relaxation. The design strikes the perfect balance between modern sophistication and serene comfort.

This renovation transformed a standard bathroom into a personal oasis. Our client now has a dedicated retreat space—a corner soaking tub surrounded by quality finishes and thoughtful design. The project showcases how strategic planning, quality materials, and expert craftsmanship can elevate an everyday space into something truly special. The homeowner can now enjoy spa-like relaxation right in their own New Waverly home.
