When our client first reached out to EZ Bath, their Tomball bathroom was stuck in the past. A small, outdated fiberglass shower enclosure dominated the space, leaving the bathroom feeling cramped and uninviting. The Transformation

Our team began by completely gutting the existing shower area. We removed the old fiberglass enclosure, outdated fixtures, and carefully demolished the surrounding wall sections to open up the space. The plumbing required significant rerouting to accommodate the new walk-in shower layout, which demanded careful planning to ensure proper drainage and water flow. We also addressed the wall structure, removing old materials to create a clean canvas for the new installation. Throughout the demolition phase, our crew worked carefully to preserve the integrity of the adjoining bathroom while maximizing the square footage available for the new shower.

The installation phase brought the vision to life. We framed out a larger shower space and installed new plumbing lines for dual showerheads—one mounted on the wall and one handheld unit for added versatility. The walls were fitted with cement board to ensure proper water resistance before tiling began.

The Finished Result

The completed shower is a stunning transformation. Large-format porcelain tile in soft gray tones with subtle veining creates a sophisticated, natural stone appearance across all shower walls. The tile extends seamlessly from floor to ceiling, creating an elegant, cohesive look. The shower features a spacious black base pan that grounds the design and provides excellent contrast against the lighter tile work. A brushed bronze or oil-rubbed bronze towel bar and shower controls add contemporary hardware finishes that complement the overall aesthetic.

The shower now includes a corner niche for convenient storage, eliminating the need for caddies or shelving that clutter the visual space. The combination of the fixed showerhead and handheld wand offers flexibility for different shower preferences. The framed glass enclosure has been replaced with an open design that makes the bathroom feel significantly larger and more luxurious. The new fixture styling is modern and streamlined, reflecting current design trends while maintaining timeless appeal.
