From Cramped Bathroom to Spa-Like Retreat in Porter

When our clients called EZ Bath, their Porter bathroom was showing its age. The space featured an outdated bathtub positioned awkwardly in the corner, limited storage, and a layout that didn't make efficient use of the available square footage. They envisioned a modern, spa-like bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, better organization, and updated finishes that would transform their daily routine.

The Transformation

Our team began the project with a complete demolition of the existing fixtures. We removed the old bathtub, dated tile work, and reconfigured the layout to maximize functionality. The most significant structural change involved repositioning the shower to create a generous walk-in enclosure that would become the centerpiece of the renovation. This required careful plumbing rework to ensure proper drainage and water lines. We also identified an opportunity to steal some additional space from an adjacent area, creating room for built-in shelving that would provide much-needed storage without sacrificing the open feel of the bathroom.

Throughout the construction phase, our team installed new plumbing rough-ins, updated electrical work for modern lighting and ventilation, and prepared the walls for fresh tile installation. We installed marble subway tile on the shower walls, creating a sophisticated and timeless look that coordinates beautifully with the warm tan ceramic tile flooring throughout the bathroom.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of spectacular. The centerpiece is a luxurious walk-in shower enclosed with a frameless glass enclosure and a frosted glass window that provides natural light while maintaining privacy. The shower features marble tile with subtle gray veining that gives it an upscale, hotel-like appearance. The shower floor is finished with a matching tile base and includes built-in shelving for toiletries.

Beyond the shower, the bathroom now boasts several smart design features. A large window above the bathtub floods the space with natural light and fresh air. The walls are painted a soft, neutral cream color that makes the space feel larger and more welcoming. Custom wooden shelves built into the alcove provide ample storage for towels, bath products, and décor. The warm tan and brown tile flooring ties the entire space together with an elegant, cohesive look.

The renovation successfully transformed a cramped, outdated bathroom into a serene spa-like retreat.
