Complete Bathroom Renovation: From Dated to Designer in Tomball

When our team at EZ Bath arrived at this Tomball home, we found a bathroom that had seen better days. The space featured an old, worn toilet in a cramped layout, dated plumbing fixtures, and walls that showed serious signs of age and water damage. The homeowner envisioned a complete transformation—a modern, spa-like bathroom with updated fixtures, contemporary tile work, and a clean, sophisticated design. They wanted to maximize the space and create an elegant retreat within their home.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition of the existing bathroom. We removed the old toilet, stripped away damaged drywall and flooring, and exposed the underlying structure to assess what needed updating. Significant plumbing work was required to reposition fixtures and ensure proper drainage for the new layout. The walls were carefully prepared, with new drywall installed to create a solid foundation for the upcoming tile work. All old materials were responsibly removed, leaving us with a blank canvas to work with.

The construction phase was carefully orchestrated. We installed new plumbing lines and updated the water supply to accommodate the modern fixtures planned for the space. Proper waterproofing was applied to ensure long-term durability, especially in shower areas. The team then prepared the surfaces for tile installation, ensuring perfectly level floors and walls for a professional finish.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The centerpiece is a dramatic black marble tile feature that spans the shower walls—large-format tiles with striking white veining create an upscale, luxurious aesthetic. The floor showcases elegant black hexagonal tile with subtle gray tones, providing both visual interest and practicality. A modern black toilet completes the fixture package, fitting seamlessly with the contemporary design scheme.

The space now features a spacious walk-in shower with glass block accents on one wall, adding architectural interest while maintaining privacy. The contrasting white drywall in adjacent areas prevents the dark tones from overwhelming the space, creating a balanced, sophisticated look. The layout has been optimized to maximize usable space, and all fixtures are positioned for optimal functionality. The bathroom now has excellent lighting and ventilation, making it both beautiful and practical for daily use.
