When our clients in Magnolia approached EZ Bath, their master bathroom was showing its age. The space featured an older garden tub positioned against a window, dated tile work, and a separate shower enclosure that felt cramped and disconnected from the rest of the room. The homeowners wanted a complete transformation—a spa-like retreat that combined the luxury of a modern walk-in shower with the relaxation of a soaking tub, all unified by contemporary design and premium finishes.

The Transformation

Our team began with complete demolition, carefully removing the existing tub, shower enclosure, and all surrounding tile and fixtures. This revealed the opportunity to reconfigure the layout entirely. We repositioned the soaking tub to become a stunning focal point beneath a large, frosted-glass window that floods the space with natural light while maintaining privacy. The shower area was reimagined as a spacious walk-in enclosure with frameless glass doors, allowing the shower to visually expand the room rather than compartmentalize it.

Structural and plumbing work was essential to make this vision a reality. Our crews installed new plumbing lines to accommodate the repositioned fixtures and integrated sophisticated shower features including multiple showerheads and body spray jets. We installed recessed lighting throughout to enhance the spa atmosphere, along with ventilation upgrades to handle moisture in this newly water-intensive space.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom showcases a cohesive design centered around warm travertine tile that covers both the flooring and shower surround. The large walk-in shower features the same elegant travertine, creating visual continuity while the tile's natural texture provides both elegance and slip-resistance. Recessed niches in the shower wall offer practical storage without interrupting the clean aesthetic.

The centerpiece soaking tub sits against the picture window, its clean white porcelain contrasting beautifully with the surrounding tile work. Chrome and brushed nickel fixtures throughout the space reflect light and add sophisticated hardware details. The frosted-glass window treatments maintain privacy while allowing diffused natural light to create an airy, serene atmosphere. On the opposite wall, white plantation shutters complete the window treatments and add to the spa-resort feel.

The renovation also included updated cabinetry and improved storage solutions, ensuring the space is as functional as it is beautiful. Every element—from the layout to the lighting to the material selections—was carefully planned to create a harmonious, luxurious environment.
