Complete Master Bath Renovation: From Cramped Layout to Spa-Like Retreat in Montgomery

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, their master bathroom was showing its age. The dated tile work, cramped shower enclosure, and outdated fixtures created a space that felt more utilitarian than relaxing. What they envisioned was a complete transformation—a modern, spa-like bathroom that would serve as a peaceful retreat at the end of a long day. The Transformation

Our team began with a complete gut renovation, starting with selective demolition of the existing shower surround and wall structure. The initial photos reveal textured tile walls that needed to come down, along with aging plumbing fixtures and outdated hardware. We removed the old shower installation entirely, including the shower valve assembly and surround components. This allowed us to reconfigure the plumbing rough-ins and install new water lines positioned for optimal fixture placement.

The construction phase involved several key upgrades:

  • Complete removal of existing shower surround and tile work
  • Installation of new plumbing lines and a modern shower valve with pressure-balancing technology
  • Framing adjustments to accommodate the new fixture layout
  • Installation of cement board and waterproofing membranes for a solid foundation
  • Fresh drywall installation throughout the bathroom
  • Complete rewiring of lighting fixtures and electrical outlets

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a study in modern elegance and practical design. The shower area now features a sleek frameless glass enclosure paired with a polished chrome showerhead and matching hand shower. The walls surrounding the tub showcase soft neutral tile in warm gray tones, creating a cohesive, spa-like atmosphere. A contemporary chrome light fixture above the vanity provides bright, even illumination for grooming tasks.

The vanity itself is a showstopper—a custom white cabinetry unit with ample storage featuring dual sink basins, crisp white countertops, and polished chrome fixtures. A large framed mirror amplifies light throughout the space. The bathroom walls are finished in a fresh, clean white paint that contrasts beautifully with the neutral tile accents.
