When our client first approached EZ Bath about renovating their master bathroom in Houston, they had a clear vision: transform their outdated setup into a modern, spacious shower experience. The existing bathroom featured an older bathtub-shower combination that felt dated and limited in functionality. The homeowner wanted to reclaim space, upgrade the fixtures, and create a contemporary look that would enhance both daily comfort and home value. With a green accent wall already in place, the bones were there—but the fixtures and layout needed a complete overhaul.

The Transformation

Our team got to work immediately, beginning with comprehensive demolition. Out came the old bathtub, and the plumbing system was completely gutted to make way for a new configuration. The old valve assemblies and supply lines visible in our mid-project photos show the extent of the infrastructure work required. We carefully removed the existing fixtures while preserving the structural integrity of the bathroom walls and the beautiful hardwood flooring in the adjoining hallway.

The most significant change involved installing new plumbing lines for the walk-in shower enclosure. This required precision work to ensure proper drainage and water pressure throughout the system. Our team installed new copper and PVC piping, rerouting the supply lines to accommodate the updated shower valve and rainfall showerhead visible in the final photos. We also added a secondary hand shower on an adjustable slide bar, giving the homeowner flexibility in their shower experience.

Inside, we installed neutral-toned subway tile that creates clean lines and a spa-like atmosphere. The white soaking tub remains positioned to the right, creating a luxurious dual-purpose bathroom. We installed new brass valve trim pieces that add a touch of elegance, while the updated plumbing infrastructure ensures consistent water pressure and temperature control. The combination of the modern glass shower enclosure, soft green walls, and polished fixtures creates a cohesive, high-end aesthetic that feels resort-quality.
