Complete Bathroom Renovation: From Cramped Layout to Luxury Walk-In Shower in Tomball

When our clients called EZ Bath, their Tomball bathroom was in dire need of an update. The existing layout was cramped and outdated, with limited functionality and tired finishes that no longer matched their vision for the home. They wanted to transform the space into a modern, spa-like retreat with a spacious walk-in shower, updated fixtures, and a fresh aesthetic that would add both comfort and value to their property.

The Transformation

Our team began with a complete demolition, carefully removing all existing fixtures, tile, and drywall to expose the structural framing. The original shower enclosure was torn out entirely, revealing the underlying plumbing and framing that would need to be reconfigured. We rerouted plumbing lines to accommodate a new, larger shower footprint and repositioned the shower head and fixtures for optimal functionality. The drywall was stripped back to the studs, giving us a clean slate to work with and allowing us to inspect and upgrade the framing as needed.

The installation phase involved several key upgrades:

  • Installation of new, reinforced framing to support the larger shower enclosure
  • Updated plumbing rough-in with modern supply and drain lines
  • Installation of waterproofing membranes and substrate to prevent future moisture damage
  • Framing and hanging of new drywall to create a smooth, finished surface
  • Professional installation of frameless glass shower enclosure with premium hardware

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The centerpiece is a spacious walk-in shower featuring a frameless glass enclosure that creates an open, airy feel. Inside, beautiful travertine-look tile with earthy, neutral tones covers the walls and floor, giving the space a luxurious, resort-style appearance. The tile pattern is carefully laid with precision, creating clean lines and a cohesive look throughout the enclosure. The shower includes a modern rainfall showerhead, sleek black fixtures, and a built-in niche for storage—all positioned for maximum comfort and convenience.

Beyond the shower, the entire bathroom now features updated finishes with a spa-like aesthetic. The neutral color palette and quality tile work create a timeless, sophisticated look that complements any décor. The layout is now more efficient, with better traffic flow and improved functionality compared to the original cramped design.
