When our client in Pearland reached out to EZ Bath, their master bathroom was stuck in the past. A small, dated bathtub dominated the cramped space, and the room lacked the modern amenities and visual appeal they were looking for. The homeowner dreamed of transforming this underutilized area into a spa-like retreat—specifically, they wanted to replace the tub with a spacious, frameless walk-in shower featuring quality fixtures and contemporary design. They envisioned a bathroom that felt open, clean, and luxurious; a space where they could start and end each day in comfort.

The Transformation

Our team got to work immediately. The demolition phase revealed the bones of the original bathroom: outdated tile, an old fiberglass tub, and dated plumbing infrastructure. We carefully removed the existing tub and began the meticulous work of preparing the shower area. The original shower base was removed entirely, and our team installed new structural framing and plumbing lines to accommodate a larger, custom walk-in shower. We laid a new, sloped shower pan with proper drainage to ensure water management would be flawless. The walls were prepared for beautiful new tile installation, with careful attention paid to waterproofing—critical in any bathroom renovation.

Once the foundation was set, we installed premium gray marble-look porcelain tile throughout the shower enclosure, giving it an elegant, high-end appearance. The installation featured clean grout lines and professional-grade materials. We then built a stunning frameless glass shower enclosure with brushed nickel hardware and blue spacer blocks for visual interest. The shower features quality fixtures including a modern rainfall showerhead, hand-held shower wand, and sleek chrome handles. A recessed niche was incorporated into the shower wall, providing convenient storage for toiletries while maintaining the clean aesthetic.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a showstopper. The frameless glass shower dominates the space, creating an open, airy feeling that makes the room feel significantly larger than it actually is. The gray marble-look tile provides sophisticated elegance, while the brushed nickel fixtures add contemporary polish. The recessed niche keeps the shower clutter-free and functional. Beyond the shower itself, we also updated the bathroom vanity with a sleek white countertop and a modern rectangular vessel sink—a U201-5-W1 model visible in the design documentation. The overall color palette of soft grays, whites, and brushed nickel creates a cohesive, spa-like environment that feels both luxurious and easy to maintain.
