This involved removing the old tub, carefully exposing the framing and plumbing infrastructure behind the walls. The original plumbing configuration required significant rework—we relocated the shower valve to a more accessible location and installed new PVC piping to support the modern shower system. The framing was reinforced with new studs and blocking to ensure proper support for the glass enclosure and new fixtures. Once the structural work was complete, we prepared the shower floor with proper slope and waterproofing to prevent future moisture issues. The walls were prepped with cement board before tile installation began, ensuring a durable, long-lasting foundation for the new shower surround.
