From Cramped Tub to Spa-Like Walk-In Shower in Pearland

When our client first contacted EZ Bath, their Pearland bathroom was stuck in the past. An old, dated bathtub with worn wooden cabinetry dominated the small space, and the outdated fixtures left little room for modern comfort or style. The homeowner envisioned a complete transformation—one that would replace the cramped tub with a spacious walk-in shower, update the finishes, and create a fresh, contemporary bathroom that felt like a personal spa retreat.

The Transformation

Our team got to work right away, starting with complete demolition of the existing bathtub and surrounding cabinetry. The old wooden vanity and worn fixtures were carefully removed, revealing the space underneath. We then reconfigured the layout to maximize the shower area, installing a custom walk-in enclosure with frameless glass doors and sleek black hardware. The plumbing was rerouted to accommodate the new shower head and hand shower combination, ensuring optimal water flow and pressure. We also installed a sloped ceiling mounted recessed light fixture and ensured proper waterproofing throughout the wet area with quality substrate materials. A fresh concrete floor was poured and finished to match the modern aesthetic of the new design.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning transformation. The new walk-in shower features contemporary vertical tile work on the walls in a clean, light gray tone that mirrors the upper wall paint color. The shower boasts both an overhead rainfall-style shower head and a sleek hand shower, mounted on dark brushed metal fixtures that provide an upscale, modern look. A large frameless glass partition encases the shower, allowing light to flow freely and making the space feel open and airy. The bathroom walls are painted in a sophisticated two-tone scheme—crisp white subway tile on the lower half and a soothing gray-blue on the upper half, creating visual interest and balance.

The adjacent soaking tub has been preserved and perfectly integrated into the new design with matching brushed metal fixtures that complement the shower hardware. A floating vanity sink sits conveniently beside the tub, and the overall layout now feels spacious and well-organized. The flooring throughout transitions smoothly from the main bathroom to the shower area, and the concrete finish provides a modern, durable surface that's easy to maintain.

This renovation completely reimagined the space—transforming it from a cramped, outdated bathroom into a luxurious, functional sanctuary. Our client now enjoys a spa-like shower experience every day, with a modern aesthetic that adds value and appeal to their Pearland home. The project demonstrates how thoughtful design, quality materials, and expert craftsmanship can turn an ordinary bathroom into an extraordinary retreat.
