From Cramped Bathroom to Spa-Like Shower Retreat in Cypress

When our clients in Cypress first contacted EZ Bath, their master bathroom was showing its age. The space featured an outdated vanity setup with limited counter space, basic fixtures, and most importantly, a shower experience that felt cramped and dated. The homeowners wanted to transform their bathroom into a modern, spa-like retreat—specifically, they envisioned a spacious walk-in shower with contemporary finishes that would become the focal point of their daily routine.

The Transformation

Our team got to work demolishing the old shower enclosure and reconfiguring the bathroom layout to maximize space. This required significant plumbing work beneath the vanity, including installation of a new P-trap system and drain lines to accommodate the repositioned fixtures. We carefully removed the existing fixtures while preserving the structural integrity of the surrounding walls and the adjacent vanity area. The demo phase revealed the bones of the space, allowing us to plan the perfect layout for the new walk-in shower.

The installation process involved several key upgrades:

  • Complete plumbing rough-in with new drain and supply lines positioned for optimal fixture placement
  • Installation of a sleek black tile shower base with integrated drainage
  • Professional tile work covering all shower walls with light gray marble-look porcelain tile that creates an upscale aesthetic
  • Frameless glass enclosure with polished chrome hardware
  • Installation of modern shower fixtures including a rainfall showerhead and handheld wand
  • Built-in niche recessed into the shower wall for convenient storage of toiletries

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a dramatic transformation. The new walk-in shower features floor-to-ceiling marble-look tile in soft gray tones that create a serene, spa-like atmosphere. A sleek black tile base grounds the design and provides excellent water management. The frameless glass enclosure with chrome hardware adds contemporary elegance without visual clutter, making the bathroom feel more spacious and bright. Modern chrome fixtures deliver excellent water flow, and the combination rainfall showerhead and handheld wand offers versatility for the whole family.

The existing vanity area was preserved and refreshed, maintaining continuity throughout the space. The white sink and countertop provide clean lines that complement the sophisticated shower design. New mirror and lighting fixtures above the vanity complete the modern aesthetic. Soft gray towel bars and thoughtful hardware selections tie the design together cohesively.

This bathroom remodel has completely revitalized our client's morning routine. What was once a purely functional space has been reimagined as a luxurious personal retreat. The spacious walk-in shower with its elegant finishes, the bright and airy feel created by the modern design, and the improved functionality of the updated plumbing have transformed this bathroom into a true highlight of the home.
