From Cramped Bathroom to Spa-Like Master Bath in Katy

Our client in Katy was ready for a complete bathroom transformation. The existing space featured dated fixtures, worn finishes, and a layout that didn't maximize functionality. What started as a tired master bath with basic cabinetry and an aging bathtub setup became an opportunity to create a luxurious, modern retreat. The homeowner envisioned a spa-like atmosphere with high-end finishes, updated lighting, and a spacious walk-in shower—a complete refresh from the ground up.

The Transformation

Our team at EZ Bath began with comprehensive demolition, removing the old fixtures, flooring, and wall surfaces to start fresh. This revealed the bones of the space and allowed us to plan strategic layout improvements. We relocated and upgraded plumbing lines to accommodate the new walk-in shower configuration and repositioned fixtures for better traffic flow. The flooring was completely removed and the substructure was prepared for the new marble tile installation. Wall surfaces were brought down to studs, allowing us to inspect structural integrity and plan for new drywall, electrical, and ventilation upgrades.

Once the foundation was set, our team installed new plumbing rough-ins for the dual vanity setup and the spacious walk-in shower. We added modern ventilation with a ceiling exhaust fan and positioned electrical outlets and lighting fixtures throughout the space. The shower installation featured framed glass enclosure panels with black metal accents, creating a contemporary focal point.

The Finished Result

The completed master bath is nothing short of stunning. The space now features a sophisticated double vanity with gray cabinetry, each sink topped with sleek black hardware and positioned beneath an oversized LED-lit mirror with a bright vanity light bar. The walls showcase a bold, modern aesthetic with warm golden-yellow paint that creates a welcoming spa-like ambiance, perfectly complemented by crisp white ceilings.

The star of the renovation is the expansive walk-in shower. Marble tile covers the walls in a classic pattern, while the floor features coordinating marble tile for a cohesive look. The black-framed glass enclosure keeps the space feeling open and bright, and the dual showerheads with black fixtures provide both functionality and style. A separate toilet room with matching yellow walls maintains privacy while the marble flooring extends seamlessly throughout, tying all elements together.

Every detail was carefully selected: the contemporary vanity lighting, the recessed ceiling lights, and the polished finishes on all fixtures create a cohesive, luxury hotel feel right in the homeowner's own home.

This master bath renovation transformed a cramped, outdated space into a personal sanctuary.
