Our Houston client was working with a seriously dated bathroom that needed a complete overhaul. The space featured an old bathtub surrounded by worn walls, outdated plumbing fixtures, and a layout that felt cramped and uninviting. The homeowner wanted to modernize the entire bathroom with fresh fixtures, updated tile work, and a brighter, more functional design. The Transformation

Our EZ Bath team got to work removing the old tub, vanity, and all existing wall surfaces. We stripped the bathroom down to the studs, exposing the wooden framing and allowing us to assess and upgrade the plumbing as needed. The old drywall came out, and we installed fresh drywall to create smooth, clean walls ready for new finishes. We completely replumbed the shower area, repositioning fixtures and running new water lines to accommodate the updated layout. The old wooden studs visible in the mid-project photos show just how thoroughly we gutted the space to build it back better.

With the structural work complete, our team installed a new acrylic bathtub with a fresh white finish, then tiled the surrounding walls with crisp white subway tiles in a classic pattern. New chrome plumbing fixtures were carefully installed, including a combination hand-held showerhead and fixed overhead shower for flexibility and modern convenience. All new pipes were routed cleanly and professionally throughout the walls. The flooring received attention too, with new tile work creating a clean, durable surface that's easy to maintain and adds visual appeal to complete the fresh aesthetic.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a dramatic transformation. Clean white subway tiles now cover the shower walls, creating a bright, spa-like atmosphere that feels much larger than the original cramped space. The new bathtub gleams with a bright white finish and includes a modern curved drain. Chrome fixtures throughout—including the dual showerhead setup and tub spout—add a contemporary touch that coordinates beautifully with the white tiles. The shower enclosure is functional and stylish, with fixtures positioned for optimal use. The vanity area received a complete refresh with new countertop and cabinetry providing ample storage. Fresh paint in soft, neutral tones covers the walls above the tile, and updated flooring throughout gives the entire bathroom a cohesive, polished look.
