When our clients in Spring decided it was time to update their primary bathroom, they were ready for a major change. The existing space featured a dated alcove bathtub with basic surround walls and limited functionality. The homeowners envisioned a modern, spa-like retreat with a spacious walk-in shower—complete with contemporary fixtures and clean, elegant finishes. They wanted to maximize the shower experience while creating a bathroom that felt both luxurious and practical for everyday use.

The Transformation

Our team at EZ Bath began by completely demolishing the old bathtub and surround system. This required careful removal of the existing plumbing connections and surround walls to prepare the space for the new layout. We reconfigured the plumbing to accommodate the walk-in shower installation, ensuring proper drainage and water supply lines were in place. The structural work was essential to support the new frameless glass enclosure and create the open, modern aesthetic our clients desired.

Once the foundation was ready, we installed a substantial black neo-angle shower pan that would serve as the base for the new shower. The walls were then finished with beautiful white subway tile, arranged in a classic horizontal pattern that creates a clean, spa-like atmosphere. The tile work extends across all walls, creating a cohesive, waterproofed environment. We installed a frameless glass shower door that spans the front of the enclosure, maximizing the sense of space and allowing light to flow through the bathroom.

Our team also integrated modern conveniences throughout the installation. A contemporary black handheld showerhead was mounted on the left wall, paired with recessed shelving built directly into the shower surround for storing toiletries. The shower features a fixed overhead rainfall showerhead for an immersive experience, and a recessed niche provides convenient storage without cluttering the clean lines of the design. We paid careful attention to every detail, from the placement of fixtures to the grout lines, ensuring a professional, finished appearance.
