When our client first contacted EZ Bath, she was ready for a major bathroom upgrade. Her existing bathroom featured a standard alcove bathtub with a basic shower enclosure—functional, but lacking the modern elegance and spa-like feel she desired. She wanted to transform the space into a contemporary bathroom that would serve as a peaceful retreat while also adding significant value to her home. The vision was clear: replace the dated tub setup with a stunning walk-in shower featuring premium tile work and modern fixtures.

The Transformation

Our team began by completely demolishing the existing bathtub and surround. This required careful removal of the old plumbing fixtures, including the tub, drain lines, and water supply connections. We also removed the worn wall surface to expose the studs, allowing us to assess and address any structural concerns and prepare the walls for new waterproofing and tile installation. The demolition revealed opportunities to reconfigure the layout slightly, giving us better access and space for the new walk-in shower design.

Once the demolition was complete, our crew installed a custom-built shower base with proper slope and drainage to prevent water pooling. New plumbing lines were run to accommodate the updated fixture locations, including a modern showerhead and body spray system. We installed cement board as a waterproof substrate, creating a solid foundation for the tile work that would follow.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The focal point is the expansive walk-in shower, completely enclosed with frameless glass panels that create an open, airy feel. The shower surround features beautiful marble-look tile in soft grays and whites with natural veining, installed in a sophisticated pattern that adds movement and visual interest to the space. The shower is equipped with modern matte black fixtures including a sleek showerhead and handheld wand, providing both functionality and contemporary style.
