When our clients in Cypress reached out to EZ Bath, their master bathroom was stuck in the past. A standard white tile bathtub and shower combo dominated the small space, with outdated finishes and limited functionality. The homeowners envisioned a modern, spa-like retreat—a walk-in shower with contemporary tile work and all the premium fixtures they'd always wanted. They knew a complete transformation was necessary to maximize their bathroom's potential.

The Transformation

Our team got to work immediately, starting with complete demolition of the existing tub and shower enclosure. We carefully removed the old white tile surround and prepared the walls for the new design. The plumbing was reconfigured to accommodate the new walk-in shower layout, with fresh rough-in work for the shower valve, handheld showerhead, and rainfall fixture system visible in our progress photos.

Once the structure was ready, we installed premium large-format porcelain tile in a soft gray marble-look pattern throughout the shower surround. The tile installation required precision work on multiple walls, with careful attention to grout lines and proper waterproofing beneath. We also updated the entire bathroom flooring with coordinating wood-look tile that complements the warm neutral palette. New brushed nickel fixtures were installed, including grab bars for safety and accessibility, along with a recessed soap niche to keep the modern aesthetic clean and organized.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is nothing short of stunning. The walk-in shower features a frameless glass enclosure that makes the space feel open and airy, with the large-format gray marble-look tile creating a high-end, hotel-inspired appearance. A dual showerhead system—including both a rainfall fixture and a handheld wand—provides flexibility and luxury. The shower surround is accented with brushed nickel trim and fixtures that tie the whole design together beautifully.

The flooring extends into the rest of the bathroom, with the wood-look tile creating visual warmth while maintaining the durability and low-maintenance benefits of porcelain. The white toilet remains a clean focal point against the sophisticated color scheme. Recessed lighting above the mirror area provides excellent task lighting, and a recessed niche in the shower wall eliminates clutter while adding functionality.

What was once a cramped, outdated bathroom is now a serene personal spa where our clients can start and end each day in style. The modern finishes, premium materials, and thoughtful design create a space that feels luxurious yet practical.
