When our clients in Magnolia approached EZ Bath, their master bathroom had all the hallmarks of a builder-grade installation that had seen better days. The original space featured a standard bathtub setup with limited functionality and dated finishes. What they envisioned was a modern, luxurious walk-in shower that would transform their daily routine into a spa-like experience. The Transformation

Our team began by completely demolishing the existing bathtub and surround, removing all old plumbing fixtures and preparing the space for a ground-up rebuild. The demolition revealed the underlying structure, which required careful assessment for any water damage or structural issues. We reconfigured the plumbing to accommodate the new walk-in shower layout, including repositioning supply lines and drain work to optimize the shower's placement and functionality.

The construction phase involved several critical steps. We framed out the new shower enclosure area, installed cement board and waterproofing membranes to ensure long-term durability and prevent moisture intrusion. The tile work was carefully planned and executed—the new shower features a beautiful blend of earth-toned tiles in varying sizes, including a decorative mosaic accent strip that adds visual interest without overwhelming the space. The flooring transition between the shower base and bathroom floor was handled with precision to create clean sight lines and seamless flow.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom is a stunning modern retreat. The centerpiece is an expansive corner walk-in shower enclosed with frameless glass panels and accented with black metal trim that provides both a contemporary aesthetic and practical structural support. The shower interior showcases warm, neutral-toned tile work with a sophisticated mosaic tile band running horizontally across the back wall. The shower base is a sleek, low-profile design in white that blends seamlessly with the surrounding tile.

Inside the shower, we installed a rain showerhead mounted on the ceiling for that luxurious spa feel, complemented by a hand-held shower wand for versatility. Built-in shower shelving with a subtle mosaic frame provides practical storage for toiletries without compromising the clean design aesthetic. The bathroom flooring extends into and around the shower area with matching tile, creating a cohesive, high-end appearance throughout.

The overall design maintains a neutral, calming color palette with warm grays and tans that feel both sophisticated and timeless. The crisp white walls and ceiling brighten the space, while the dark metal fixtures add a touch of modern elegance.
